Satyanand Dimri Uttarakhand Government Institute of Polytechnic Barkot Uttarkashi , has played a vital role in providing the technical manpower. The Institute offers Diploma course in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Information Technology presently running in the institute is affiliated to Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee (UBTER).
The Institute admits students to Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Information technology course through the Joint Entrance Examination For Polytechnics (JEEP) conducted by UBTER at various centers all over Uttarakhand.
